FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. (May 16, 2013) – Trade publications Aviation International News (AIN) and Professional Pilot Magazine (Pro-pilot) recently released their annual FBO surveys results. The publications survey their subscribers on aviation topics such as top-rated FBOS, most-improved FBO (AIN) best international FBO, best chain FBO and best independent FBO (Pro Pilot) etc. The overall rankings result from scores based on facilities, customer amenities, service levels and personnel.

Florida Tech Holds Grand Opening for Research Park at Melbourne International Airport

SIGNATURE TO HANDLE HELICOPTER TRAFFIC INTO LONDON GATWICK ONTO THE HAP FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2001.
Signature Flight Support announces it has recommenced handling of all helicopter traffic into London Gatwick Airport, coinciding with the reopening of the helicopter aiming point (HAP) by the airport in May 2013. The opening of the HAP will enable commercial and business aviation operators to once again land helicopters at Gatwick without having to request runway slots or taxi on the runway.

SIGNATURE OPENS SATELLITE STATION AT BERLIN TEGEL AIRPORT ADDING A SECOND FACILITY IN BERLIN
Signature Flight Support will soon serve the city of Berlin, Germany from two airports with the opening of a satellite station at Berlin Tegel (TXL). Services commence at the Tegel satellite facility on May 1, 2013. Signature currently operates a fixed base operation (FBO) at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport (SXF). As the closest airport to the city center of Berlin, Tegel is a popular destination for business travelers. Signature’s other operations in Germany currently include facilities in Frankfurt and Munich.

FXE Announces New Custom Hours

BASE OPERATIONS AT PAGE FIELD RANKED AMONG TOP FIXED-BASE OPERATORS IN INTERNATIONAL SURVEY
FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 22, 2013) – Base Operations at Page Field received recognition for being rated in the top 30 percent of fixed-base operators in a prestigious international survey conducted by Aviation International News (AIN). The 2013 FBO Survey is conducted annually and asked pilots, flight attendants and dispatchers to provide feedback on the level of customer care at individual business and general aviation service providers throughout the Americas. This is the first time that the Lee County Port Authority FBO has been recognized in the AIN survey.
