Chapter 1240 Set to Break Ground for New Aviation Development Center

Youths will be able to learn all about flight at Chapter 1240's new Aviation Development Center in Sebring, Florida.

August 23, 2012 - After years of hard work and community participation and support EAA Chapter 1240 of Sebring, Florida, is building an Aviation Development Center that will serve as the EAA chapter home base and a venue for community aviation education programs.

A ground breaking celebration is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, at the Sebring Regional Airport. Several honored guests will be in attendance, including the airport's Executive Director Mike Willingham, Sebring Mayor George Hensley, and James Ray of the Aviation Education Foundation of Naples, Florida, whose foundation generously donated $175,000 for the building project.
